hello i was wondering what to expect from the gt45s on my bbc build

440ci tall deck bbc
11.1 comp
all forged
will run a solid roller cam
dart 345 heads
blot thru carb

fuel will be 110 race fuel with no intercooler
i will have a water meth kit on it spraying vp m1
twin ebay gt45 with the 1.05 AR housing looking to run 10-15 lbs of boost
the motor should make 600 HP in N/A form

i was wondering how this thing would spool and how much power could it make in a boost limited situation
this is all going in a small tire lx mustang coupe i figure 2800-3100 pounds

I would not think 1000 hp would be tough. Hooking however may be more difficult, lol. Going through that myself on a good bit less hp.

 

Could probably get away with the .84 housing to spool quicker
But the 11 to 1 comp in motor should do a pretty good job any way.

 

Well things are moving slow but I try to due a lil every weekend

Took me over 2 years and I am still not 100% done. It is up and running, but I doubt it will ever be "done" lol.

 

This the same block you had last winter? I know you were building a 454 twin gt45 but I think you said the motor was shot

 

no its not the same block .....this is a tall deck 427 truck block.......

i was wondering how it would work if i cut a plate the size of those t3 flanges and cut a hole in them. i wonted to mount my gates in that same area..... maybe angle it a little and mount them.... how would that location work

 

Not the best location but should work fine. Better than the original gate locstion IMO.
