ARP 2000 bolt stretch

    Just letting you know not to always go by torq-wrench. Bolt stretch guage will always be used from now on. Hope this pic. helps remind everyone.

    No build thread, but rod bolt backed out on dyno after break-in, was on 3rd pull when this happened. N/A 680-625 @ crank on 2nd pull with 31* timing. SBC 421. Didn't even get to put any timing in it to see what she had.

    Damn. Sorry to here that. Had that happen to a BBF once. Total loss.

    Holy shit! That happened to another guy a few months ago on another forum but it wasn't nearly as bad as that!

    Bolt stretch gauge is deffently best way to.go but their has been millions of engines assembles with out one 3 pull and lots a bolt that bolt was never torqued properly for one reason or another really sucks though!
