I'm trying to figure the diameter of the turbine wheel, simply based on trim and A/R....This is for a Sprinter diesel, its a garrett, but there are numerous varieties of this same turbo on the net to find....

Trim is a calculated ratio between the exducer and inducer sizes, not a measurement. You can't just figure out the dimensions based on the trim unless it's a Garrett T3 or T4-based turbo which is well documented. The A/R also tells nothing about the wheel dims unless some A/R housing was only available for a certain wheel type.

Pull the housing off and measure it.
