I have $3200 saved up for the turbo conversion on my 67 buick (300 engine). I have the shorty headers already but still need the turbocharger(MPt70 or MPT76) wastegate, blowoff valve. fuel system and tubing. also still need a blowthru carb. how much do you guys have in your systems?

Right now mine isn't done yet, but this is what I can readily think of:

    -39lb/hr Cobra Injectors:105
-Walbro 255-40 used (yeah, I know. Run it for well over 2 years though probably will be upgraded with a sump eventually)
    -Megasquirt II-250
    -twin GN turbos-225
    -header kit (Jegs)-115
    -Header Flanges (Summit-40)
-Bends $40 (good deal from board members, VERY patient for it)

This excludes anything I don't consider "turbo specific as well. Thinking of flowing the injectors too. Right now I have a set of 28.5lb/hr GN injectors in my TPI engine but they will probably go bye soon.

I went the stock GN turbo route also. One was a gift, one was $125 with stock elbow (wastegate). They should be good for 600ish rwhp. I also picked up some "free" bends at diesel performance shop. As they drop stock exhaust systems, they scrap them.

    So....

    Turbo's with wasgates - $250
    Stock manifolds - Free
    Powerstroke Intercooler - $100
Used A-1000 - $200 (It broke almost immediately, but thankfully it was still under warranty. I think they had to rebuild just about everything. Beware of used pumps... even if they are fairly new)
Fuel line and fittings - $150ish
CSU E-85 Carb - I had the carb already, but I think probably $850 to $1000 shipping if you had to buy one. Or you could do the "hangar 18" mods for prob $100 on your carb.
    Carb hat - $65
    Regulator and Filter - $300ish
    Wideband - $200
Knock Sensor - $150 (not necessay, but very helpful)
    Boost Gauge - $25
    Fuel Pressure Gauge - $25

Rougly $2500... so call it $3000 for the things I'm forgetting.

The actual turbos and plumbing are fairly cheap and easy (or so I've found). Anything that handles or monitors fuel delivery is where things get expensive. Some of those dang fittings can be $20+ each.

$300 total for used carb + diy mods

If you include.the injectors and MAF I had around $1300 in mine. Used the existing headers, bought mandrel bent u-pipes and oil line/fittings from racepartsolutions, used turbo $150, rebuild kit for $35, cx_racing intercooler and piping kit for like $169 iirc. Dynomax muffler and exhaust band clamps.from summit around $200 I think... splurged on the bov and wastegate from jgsturbo, really nice pieces. Around $450 for those, but stainless steel valves instead of diaphragms sold me.
