alcohol blow thru verses gasolint blow thru-pros and cons for drag boat

    WOULD an alcohol 11-1 comp twin turbo blow thru carb engine be more responsive off idle than a 9-1 comp blow thru gasoline engine. In a drag boat application with one gear only and no way to stall into boost, would the higher compression alcohol engine be much more responsive off idle than the gas engine? Have to leave from an idle .

    Yes the alcohol set up will be much more responsive as far as any lag goes. The 11 to 1 engine will make more power N/A than the 9 to 1 set up. Now posty some pic's of this project for us to see. :chacha:

    just got the boat back from modifications and am in process of dummying everything up right now . Will post pictures when i get them.

    They both would work. The alky would be cool, and make 10 - 15% more power.
