air filter restriction vacuum reading

    How much vacuum is normal in the inlet flange between filter and turbo ?

    You have to be careful measuring in an area where air has high velocity. It is easy to have air motion modify the real pressure.

    You really want as close to 0 psig as you can get. The problem is measuring it. That can be tricky.

    Depends on how much of a restriction your air filter is creating. I don't know if a measured value is going to be meaningful without a track time or dyno number to compare it to.

    The Motorcraft version is available on Amazon for less. The only difference is it has a connector for an air filter restriction dash light (they made this for the Powerstroke, but it will work on basically anything):

    This is pretty cool, thanks for the links. GM ones are $40+ on Amazon. It's just absurd.

    Yeah, its weird how prices are all over the board for the same product. And its not that one manufacturer will always cost the most. For instance, supercharger oil: you can't beat GM's price, Ford charges an arm and a leg, and the aftermarket (like Kenne Bell) charges more than both Ford and GM.
