Ive been lurking long enough and stealing everyones ideals. I starting buying parts for it in nov and have been working on it for about 2 months and have made some pretty good progress.

Ive had the truck since it was new and its been through a few different motors. Its pretty much always had nitrous on it , I got the turbo bug a few years back
and talked myself out of it since I had a decent motor in it. Well I torched a few pistons in it last year over revving the stock pcm so now since I have to rebuild the
motor I figured it was time.

This is my first turbo/boost build , all diy.

Hopefully what Ive got done so far is done right and designed well.

Im waiting on the motor to get back from the machine shop so that I can build a new alternator bracket, I had to move the alt from low on the pass side to low on the driver side due to the turbo placement. I keep wanting to build the bracket and remember that there is no crankshaft in the motor and kinda hard to mock that up.
I still have quiet a bit of stuff to do. Im trying to get the truck going by early march so that I can get it tuned and out to "pinks all out" in ennis mar 21. I dont know that it will happen or not.

I dont know about the welds looking great, they will do though. I bought a tig welder so that I could do the alumnium stuff , practiced for about a day before I did the cold side, some of the welds are ok and some look like full on shit. I will get better at it though.

I moved this turbo all over the place and this about the only place I could find that it would fit. I about broke my back one day just moving it around and seeing what all obsticales where involved.

Looks good. Were you able to run a 5" DP all the way out?

Thanks for posting all of the pix!

all the way to behind the RF tire! There is no room to go between the frame and engine for a 5" dp. I will try this and see how I like it. May go a different route in the future.

I sandblasted all the hot parts today and applied a coat of vht 2000 degree black paint. Going to wrap everthing tomorrow if I have time. I need to grind on some of the welds on the down pipe to pretty it up some, Im only going to wrap down to the vibrant muffler and leave the rest of it just painted because the rf is going to touch it on hard right turns.

most of the welds are just mig welded. I bought a syncrowave 200 last week and have started learning how to use it. I did manage to get the cold side stuff done . I still need lots of practice with it though. :welder:
