93 cobra w/ 04 cobra engine w/ a precision 88mm. Updated 7-1-14

i have been building this thing for a couple of years now and decided to do a build thread on here. basically this thing started out as a 36,000 stock 93 cobra #4076. pick it up in Dallas TX. back in 2005. built a 347 with a vortech t-trim drove it for a couple of years, then decided i wanted a 03-04 cobra engine to put in it, looked for 6mo. and finally found a brand new one in Florida. i tore it down put a set of je pistons, kellog crank, manley rods, billet oil pump, headstuds, mainstuds, livernois oil drain back tubes, 7qt. aluminum oil pan. shooting for 900-1000 to the ground. running a precision gt47 ballbearing turbo, air to water intercooler. it has a wolfe racecraft 12 point chormoly cage, through the floor subframe connectors, mini tubs, anti roll bar, double adj. uppers with spherical bushings, double adj. offset lowers, rearend is narrowed 2 3/4" on each side with strange 9" housing ends, 35 spline axles and spool, 325/50/15 mickey thompson drag radials mounted on 15x12 weld alumastars with double beadlocks. i will post more pics as i get further along. this isn't as custom of a build as the other 93 cobra that thing will be bad ass when it's done. let me know what you guys think. sorry some of the pics aren't that great.

Its definetly going to be bad...the level of customization looks great to me so far. You know what would be fun...A head to head 93 Cobra showdown That would just make my entire month. When both of the cars are done, to see them go heads up. You both looking to put down the same amount of horse power so it would defiently be fun. Think about it...

I got my money on the red 93 Cobra

Awesome. I am a mod motor junkie. I am just blown away at the power that can be made with a small piston, short stroke motor that can rev to 9 grand and make over 1000 hp to the ground and still have an a/c compressor and power steering AND be driven daily. I know that isn't what you are going after, I have a friend that fits this category to the T.

Thanks! I love the mod engines, I work onalot of mod engines around this area. I love too work on them, on an engine stand of coarse. Lol

did some more work this weekend, got the anti roll bar welded in, pulled fenders and bumper cover off and started welding all those holes up > Axles and spool should be here this week

went to Milan MI. this weekend to the nmra race, and scottrod fabrications was there and i bought there engine bay covers. really impressed with his products, great guy to deal with. Got them welded in, they fit really good. here are some pics.

Looks great. I was talking to Scott last week but couldn't make it to Milan to see the spread of new parts he is featuring. Hoping to do the same work to my scrap soon.

did a little more work this weekend, got the rearend housing bolted up to see how it fit, wheels should fit perfect in the wheel wells. waiting for for my 17" black weld alumstars, full racecraft front suspension, precision gt47/88 turbo, rearcoil over kit, rear brakes to get here . then i can get the rearend mocked up, tack everything then final weld it and get this thing on the ground and set the motor in and start the turbo piping.

Very nice work. What transmission are you going to go with? Are you going to do an A/A or A/W intercooler?

Thanks! i'm going to run an ati powerglide. for the intercooler i'm using a precision pt2000 air to water
