91 mustang 408 blow through 1st start up video added!

First off want to say this is my first turbo build. Still piecing this build together. ill post what all i have for now.
'72 351w block, csu 750 blow through carb, anderson b451 cam, scat internals with diamond pistons, freakshow power glide, 88mm borg warner turbo, 7531 box, ams 1000 boost controller, nitrous dave relay board.

haven't really done much with it since i picked it up from the machine shop, got a oil pan for it. they put long main studs in and the oil pan i got wont fit with them, so im gunna have to cut them down so it will fit.

 

Needs more parts. Quit slow playing guy

 

I love blow through builds dont change your mind on the fuel source. run it blow through for a year before you decide to let somebody talk you in to injection. Blow through will run just as fast as anything if you hit the tune up on it. Plus they look better under the hood than wires lol.

 

lol def. ive got a1000, gotta get the blow carb regulator for it.

ah thanks man, i actually just got a b451 a couple weeks ago though.

 

you may consider a turbo chang later on down the road. really depends on how fast you want to go. the 76 will limit you on a 408 cause that 408 will want to breath. I ran a 420 all year last year went 580s with the 80mm switched to the 88 seen a 51 with it. busted the stock block before I could really turn it up. guess what though! the carb kept on keeping on that dude was on key every pass. love my carb and im going 5.0s with that same carb next year. keep a eye on my build cause you can learn from my mistakes and save some money lol

 

yeah im definitely gunna be upgrading in the next year or two, just depends. and awesome im glad to hear that about the carb and i will definitely watch your build thread!

 

upgraded my turbo, bought a s480-88!! bought to get this build going, been slowly buying new stuff and getting everything ready. jgs60mm waste gate should be here today!

 

Thats a good gate! I run one very happy with it

 

long time since I've actually updated this. basically doing away with all the on3 hot side stuff, had some troubles with my converter for my c4, so traded back my c4 and got a power glide thanks to freakshow. turbo is mounted on car, motor is in, but have to change some stuff, got piping from mandrel bends.com for my hot side. hopefully be ready in a month or two. or three...

Heres a couple update pictures. decided to move the turbo from next to the framerail and make it part of the framerail. Also started working on the hot side. Doing 2.5" mild steel. More pics to come.

Rerouted the hotside. And got the wastegate pipe tacked in. All welds are tacked for now till we can tig them. #ad

Also got a new fan and aluminum shroud, got 3.55 gears for my rearend. Been a long time since my car has ran. Its actually starting to look like a car and coming together again. #ad

The first picture is how the turbo will look with the piping. The 2nd picture is just a idea for the piping right there. Idk tho. Also deciding to go e85 so I am going to send my carb back to csu and have that done.
