Car started life as a factory 5.0 car,Then lived for a while with a panhandle built 331 then i recieved the car with a weak 306 with canfeild heads that ran the best of 7.20@98 in the 1/8th on spray. So i decided to got he beaten path of the 2.3T swap but i added a twist i wanted a carb blowthrough setup capable of mid 6"s in the 1/8th and that leaves me were i am today I will post pics from the start opf this build to were im at today.

Heres the pic of the 306 that is now in the scrap pile due to a broken rod and windowed block

After fighting with the machine shop to get the head finished I finnally got it back!!

1.89/1.60 valves, lots of port work and special attention in the bowl areas.

I also used ARP studs for the head and a 1035 felpro gasket

So insted of buying a 4 Brl adapter i made one of my own and secured it with 4 5/16-18 socket head bolts
    [IMG]#ad

I also drilled and tapped the injector bungs for 3/8 pipe pulgs and filled them with JB weld
    [IMG]#ad

Along the way i picked up a 2.3 C4 bellhousing
    [IMG]#ad

And then my camshaft Lunatis .500 lift grind

hope the motor mounts hold ;)
