I built this car about 7 years ago and it's been in storage for the past 5 years due to family commitments.
Everything was done by me at home except the shortblock.
    Time to play again!

I just finished the front half of the roll cage, (used to be in front of dash, now thru-dash runner style), the minitub install and narrowing the 8.8 to fit the 28x10.5's, (shortened by 2-3/4" each side to use 15x10's with 5"bs, still have room to move up to 15x12's

Chasing some elect. gremlins right now... :bang: and may end up gutting out all the wiring and starting over....

Going to make some changes once she's up and running right again.
Plans include air/water IC and then larger turbo.
I was hoping to get it ready for paint but that's gonna have to wait.

Where did you come up with that hood if you don't mind me asking. I have a friend with an 86 Capri that was looking for something larger than the HO Fibertrends hood.

The hood was originally an HO Fibertrends 2-1/2" cowl. It belonged to a buddy of mine. He had someone cut the center and raise it as well as clearance on the pass side for the throttle body on a Vortech Igloo.

When the hood got cut, it wasn't properly supported though, and ended up flattening out, (from each side edge in toward the scoop and front to rear). He ended up selling the car and the new owner wanted it changed over to an LX front facia. He gave me the 86 facia and hood since he no longer needed them.

Did some 1/8mile testing Fri. 2/15/08...

    10lbs boost
footbraking, leaving at 2500, no boost at the line
60'- 1.65, carrying front wheels just off the surface
    6.38 @ 112.97

need to make some room, driveshaft is rubbing the top of the trans tunnel
hoping to get back within 2 weeks for more testing

    thanx.
I did the mini tubs myself, (Wolfe Racecraft tubs).
I do all of the work on my car, cage, coil overs, narrowed rear, etc. The only things I didn't do was machine and assemble the short block.

I have done all the stuff to mine as well, except for the shortblock, and welding the pipes for my hot parts and cold parts because I dont currently have a welder, that is one of the next things on my list of "tools" I need.

    4.07 --330ft

    113.44 --mph

seems like it's blowing thru the convertor in high gear, rpm drops but load doesn't change

    got some work to do

    Thanx.
I've got to work out some converter issues and do some more tuning.
Timing is only 18 degrees total and I'm doing my own programing now on the dfi, (I don't want to get too agressive on the tune yet).
Hoping to get everything sorted out this year and get her painted over this coming winter.

    Thanx. I'm happy with it.

Actually, I want to paint it black...never considered satin or flat though...something to think about
