Putting a 2000 explorer 8.8 rear end in my gasser project. Going to shorten the long side 3 inches to end up with a 56 1/2 width. It has a 3.73 in it now, I want something around a 3.20 for the twin turbo set up lm putting in it. A 3.50 is all I seem to find. Anyone know of a gear a little higher than the 3.50? Also, ld like to replace the round flat type pinion yoke with a 1350 one, $trange?

3.27's are common 8.8 gear sets. I have bought a couple sets off eBay cheap. I also picked up a 1350 yoke from a 8.8 out of a late 80's f150 iirc.

That would be the perfect gear. I thought I remembered a 3.20 something gear, just couldn't seem to find any.

2.73, 3.08, 3.27, 3.55, and 3.73 are all pretty common to find fairly cheap.

Got a set coming off ebay, 3.27, look good in pic, we'll see. Going to get the 3.73's out and see how they look.
