i am looking at getting a gt-k 1000 or a comp ct4/43 6767 billet ball bearing since its priced pretty good. i am looking for a good spooling (under 3000rpm) turbo that can support ~1,000hp in the future but 800hp on pump gas/meth.

the gt-k i can get for $1200 never ran and no warranty. and the comp is $1500-$1600 new with 1 year warranty.

i'm leaning towards the comp as it obviously would spool a little faster, but they claim 975hp?

i'd would love any feedback on the comp turbos as i've searched and there is little to no feedback on them.

if the comp is a no go then i'll go with the gt-k and swap to a non-ported housing and billet wheel.

engine will be: wap block, cobra crank, modmax rods, modmax/cp pistons(9.5to1), trickflow heads, custom bullet turbo cams(232/230 .560/560 115lsa), and might port my bullitt intake.

no smaller than a 76mm especially with your 1000hp goal later on unless you like to buy the same thing twice lol

I wouldn't run the billet 6767 past around 700rwhp on a 4.6-5.0 motor (that's the highest I have seen run on one at 20psi) that 950-975hp rating depends on setup and is crank hp.
Im not a fan of anything china/turbo-netics so I would stay away from that. I would reccommned comp or precision.

I ran 3 different precision turbos before switiching to comp. I run a Comp CT4-7068 billet wheel 3bb and love it, transient boost response is almost instant and full boost comes in at 2500rpms on the street. I was limited by back pressure on my single setup due to the 2.25" piping pre turbo, it made 640/700 at 18psi power should have been closer to 700 but it was dropping off due to back pressure. I'm building a twin setup now with comp 6265's. ;)

For a T4 3"vband configuration on the turbine the largest you can go is 7070 with billet wheel which would get you to around 800rwhp realisticly/safely.

If you truly want 1000rwhp I would step up to a CT4-7675 it will have 3.5"vband outlet though so you will just need to mod the down pipe with a 3.5"vband and transition pipe.

Nice cams btw. I just had mark at Bullet racing spec me out some turbo cams as well. Mine are 230/232 .525/.550 lift 115.5 lsa

ha thanks, yea i got my cams off y2k02:) i have no idea how they'll act with my setup.

hmm so turbonetics is china, never was a big fan of them as their power ratings are quite a bit lower than the premier turbo companies and they don't offer maps.

i have looked at precions and they seem to be world class chargers, but pricey. i have heard good things about comp and they look to have the same reliability as precision, they know what theyre doing.

i think for now i'll stick with a 3" vband for now but i will be upgrading to 4" downpipe later on.
