i have a 64mm s400 turbo, with a 64x91mm compressor wheel, and a 74x83mm turbine wheel, it has a 1.10 t4 housing, i was wondering how well this would work on a cam only blow thru 6.0? here is whats on the tag of the turbo, i cant seem to locate a map or anything for it

    I have the same turbo with a .90 T4 housing on a rear-mount setup. I see 3-4 psi by 3300-3500rpm. :D

you'll spool really quick but its gonna choke up top and im guessing 620rwhp would be the safe limit

Yea I wasn't real worried about spooling it, just more worried about meeting my goals with it, I'd like to see the car go mid low 10s and 130+mph

    it's a full weight 91 mustang GT

    They run 66mm on buicks @ 231cid....
You need a bigger compressor as that one will be running of the map with that big an engine.
    Guys run 75-78mm on 5.3's.

After checking the part number online, it comes back to a s400 still, factory replacement for an 11.1L Detroit. So I emailed ole Dave from here and will be emailing Borg Warner as well.

Coming from Dave at turbodaves it is an s400 off the 11.1l Detroit, able to support 780hp

I think I'm gonna give it a shot, seeing as it is upgradable to a 71, 75, or 80mm turbo

Si, extended tip wheels FTW. I chose this turbo for the upgrade options, exhaust wheel size, and the large range of exhaust housings that you can use.

In 2nd gear at 3300 i got on it and at 5 psi and 41% throttle it felt just like it was still an N/A carbed setup up at wide open throttle. :D

Now here is the dilema, I have a chance to trade this turbo for a MP T70, which of course I'd buy a second one. Which way do you think would be the best to go? The t70 has a .68 housing, would they spool slower than the bigger single?
