This '78 Malibu we called the "Turlibu".
We are gonna build this sleeper from differant parts we had laying in the shed.
The engine is the stock 305cui block, with Comp cam 268h cam, World S/R heads with studs, Weiand team G intake, Blowtrough Edelbrock 600cfm carb. 20170814_195701.jpg #ad

The manifolds are from a old Rajay kit.
To make the HX52w turbo to fit we build a spacer between the manifold and the turbo and deleted the airco to make room for the 4inch downpipe. 20170815_090805.jpg #ad

Then we started working on the 4 inch downpipe..but the band saw broke down..so we have to wait 2 weeks for the parts for the machine:bang: 20170816_163849.jpg #ad

Nice (& simple) set-up there! Nice looking routing on the piping, plenty of room & forethought for an air filter, ect. One suggestion "for looks" purposes only from a guy "on the couch". I wonder if you could use a 45* bend behind the Rad Support going to the intercooler & then rotate the one coming out of the turbo to meet? Would make it more match the other side & look a bit more "custom made" to that particular area? Just a bit of OCD coming out! Carry On, Lorne

Thanx, we tried several way's to run the boostpipes and this was the only way to run them because the radiator is from a Gmc Savanna and takes a up a lot of room:grin:

Cool, I forgot all about that build. Probably needs an update or two. That said, it's interesting you have another HX52W build. Are you using the gate in it at all, or are you using something else? How are you modifying it if you're using it?

Yes we are using the stock wastegate, but we ported the wastegate housing to hopefully prevent boost creep.
