Re: 427 Stroker twin turbo cam input!

    Anybody?

I want to make sure this cam is good for my application. I ordered the cam through Nelson racing engines. Tom Nelson told me this is the cam they use on there turbo ford motors. I just want to get some of you turbo experts input.

Looks good, mine is also a hydro roller about 242/236 and .612/.588 on a 115 and works very well for streetability (900rpm idle 13-14mmHg vacuum) and power (865rwhp/900rwtq on a 427 just under 16psi).
I think you'll like it, would love to see some pics of the stang too :2thumbs:

Thanks for the input!!! The cam is actually a solid roller, but I was told it is a very streetable cam! Heres a link to my build!

It will idle like a stocker.
Not sure but I'd guess it will top out at 6k max NA.
With enough turbine size it will just keep rev'ing out.

I'd imagine Tom can tell you about exactly what it will do.

pretty smal IMO for a 427 motor. I agree with TTFBDY that it will be tame at idle as well.

Agree with all the above. I have a hydraulic roller 233/233 on a 112 in my 401 sbc, and its really tame. That cam is great for a 80% street car looking for that power. I'd estimate i'm abit over 600whp thru a loose converter on a mustang dyno with 10 psi. You should have good numbers.
