408" Ls S480 powered hatch build

I've decided to ditch my fast 90/90 with a fogger in trade for a nice little single plane/turbo setup. I will post up pics as the build goes, but I just started getting some parts together for the build. I should have the S480 next week so I can start building the hot side then. For now, here are a few pics of the car with the old setup. There is also a vid of two shake down passes. I was on the limiter due to the fact that my shift light broke.

Pulled the nose off today and started pulling out the wiring inside the car. I am NOT looking forward to wiring this thing up, but I just couldn't stand this mess any longer.

I"ll be posting pics as I go with the build. My first task is to make the new wire harness for the interior of the car. Late next week I should be starting on the hot side plumbing. I'm still up in the air on if I am going to mini-tub it or not as well. I'm sure this project, just as all of my others, will get out of hand.

The car looks great man. I possibly have a 93 hatch lined up that I'm planning on dropping an LS92 out of a 03 Avalanche into. I was just wondering what kind of intake and ignition you used on yours, and where you purchased them from? Can't wait to see more pics.

On another note, I was strongly considering putting a s480 on my firebird....But kind of changed plans. Let me know how it works out. I'm trying to get another hatch for next spring.

I'll let you know. I've just gotten sick of dealing everyones bs with street racing so I'm building a car that I can enjoy and drive and don't give two shits if everyone knows what's in it.

If I had the money, I'd race a class. I may try Late Model EFI at 66 next year if I don't sell the fireturd right away.

I had a pretty serious mishap on the street this Spring and it scared me away from racing on the street for the most part.

There is just to much to loose these days to be on the street, esp with fast cars. To bad some people can't just wrap their heads around that concept and accept a few races at the track instead of telling people on street. I hope to see you guys at KOTS, maybe we can have a Chi guy win this year.

I've been working on it little by little. I finally got off my ass and wired up a circuit for my welder. Don't be to harsh about my welds. I haven't welded in ~2 years and I wasn't a very fluent welder then. My wiring mess has gone further than I wanted it to, but oh well. The mount for the turbo is just a temp, I am still trying to decide what to make that is clean, yet functional as a support.
