Figured I'd try and document a ongoing project/s I've had the past few years for anyone interested, thanks to all the knowledge and motivation I've gained from these forums.

Engine is a 2 bolt main vortec 350 out of a 98 c1500. Stock bottom end, comp cams xr276hr-10. 224/230 @ .50 and 501/510 lift. Speed pro hyper 12cc dish pistons. Stock compression ratio. Holley single plane intake with a holley super sniper 1250/ hyperspark setup.

Started N/a in a 1990 iroc. Never even planned on a turbo to begin with but quickly wanted more power. Figured I'd send it and see what happens. After a few ebay turbos I settled on a vs racing t4 s480 and transfered everything in to a 96 z28. Made 580 on a dynjet @ 12.5 lbs.

Some pics of the iroc with a ebay 7875 before I swapped everything over.

How would you compare the ebay 7875 (that's what I have) to the s480?

S480 doesn't spool near as quick but that's what I wanted. The 7875 with the .96 housing was instant but felt like it was choking a little up top on a 3rd or 4th gear pull. Very fun street turbo just to go blow tires off. Lol. I thought it was great for the price. Never had any issues out of it. Sitting on the shelf now. Regularly ran 14 or 15 psi.
