I have been working on the truck for a while and figured I might as well start a build thread for it as it may help someone else out in the future.

Lets see... I have had the truck since I was 9 and it has had a quite a few combos in it.
    Here is my current combo:

ENGINE(still at the machine shop. Using a mock up motor until the 5.3 gets back):

5.3 w/ eagle rods and weiscos
    317 heads dual valve springs
    cam: .614/ .610 227/ 223 @ .050" on a 114 LSA
LS9 head gaskets and APR Bolts
    LS7 Lifters
    LS2 Lifter trays
    Victor Jr. Intake manifold
    MSD 6010
Will be buying a CSU 750 when the time comes
    EV Pro bonnet

    TURBO:

    PT7075 .96 A/R ex
    Tial 60mm Wastegate
    Tial BOV

    FUEL SYSTEM:

    Eliminator Pump
    -10 feed/ -8 return
    13204 regulator

    TRANS:

TH400 that I picked up for 100 bucks... shift kit and the usual free mods.
    Added:
    JW bellhousing
    Stefs pan
Hughes 2500 stall converter( may get changed once the truck is up and running).

    REAREND:(from previous N/A setup)

    4.10 truck 12 bolt
    spool
    c clip eliminators

That's all Ive got so far.

Got some work done on the truck today. I ran the hard lines for the feed(-10) and return(-8) from the cell to the front. :welder:

CRAP! :bang: Ran out of welding wire. It always happens at the wrong time. Guess I'll call it a night and stop by the welding supply store tomorrow.

I have a spool of flux... But not worth it, cause i'm in no rush. I'll get some solid core wire tomorrow. :)

    Are those C6 manifolds?

Also, what motor mounts did you end up going with?

    Thanks, and build looks good!

The manifolds are 2009+ CTS-V manifolds and for motor mounts; I just welded some up for the block side and used some moroso solid mounts for the frame side.

Got some more work done tonight. I finished welding the hot side to include building the waste gate dump. I also got an upper radiator hose built.

Forgot to add a full engine bay picture with the hat in the approximate position it will be with the Carb installed.

Does anyone know exactly how tall a 4150 is? I guess around 4 inches but who knows...

oh, I am also going to wrap the hot side once its painted. It should help keep the engine bay nice and cool.

I run 2 inch carb spacer and 4 inches of hat spacer and it fits under my 3 inch cowl on my 81.

Made some progress tonight. I did the trunnion upgrade on my rockers. I know that some say its is a worthless upgrade, but Id rather not have a stock rocker fail even if it is a rare occurrence.

Picked up a driveshaft today from my good friend Rocky. It is out of a 1996 C 3500. I cut the Yoke to fit the TH400. I will get it shortened next week.

I also started on my gauge cluster. That is a ton of work...

For cluster, I took a piece of aluminum and put 2 slight bends in it to match the back of the factory one.
