Subframe connecters are in and springs have been removed.I am trying to figure out what to do next and what to buy so I can keep going as right now I have about $600 and want to keep going as long as possible. I already have the paint for the bottom and floor [ POR15 ] Black and the paint for car which is white base coat clear coat. I think I need to get the rear suspension which is going to be a touque link so I have brackets that need welded in and the 10 poing roll cage in before painting floor and bottom. I need engine and trans mounted to be able to do front mount of the torque link so I think the next thing to do is work on my new square tube K frame and front suspension which I am building. Just got my mill wired properly so I can start drilling holes

The front suspension I am going to buld is kind of going to look like this

I am using Mustang spindles, Granada rotors and GM Metric brake calipers and coil over shocks with rack and pinion steering, It is stock car controle arms with a strut rod on lower and custom made upper. Mine will be square tubing instead of round. I will post pictures as I go

Fixed the digital read out and figured out the auto feed on my Mill and made some angle brackets and drilled the holes in the plates that I welded to the ends of the main rails in my new K frame #ad

There will be a crossmember welded in later when I see where it goes I think I am going to get the engine out from under the bench, and strip it tonight and get it and the trans mounted in the car this weekend

Got my trans mount made, took forever and threw out my first as I did not have an old one for a pattern. The rear holes are for the front mount of TORQUE LINK rear suspension #ad

Got motor mounts made and installed and got car back upside down ready to do rear end. Dug my 9" out and started to clean it up and get ready for brackets #ad

Rear is out of a 75 Lincoln and needs to get narrowed like a foot.

9" is way to long and wrong gear. Had a 8.8 Ford out of a Ranger that is right length and has a 3.23 gear which is where I want to start. Got lower control arm / coil over brackets made and front lower control arm pockets made and welded in. #ad
I am making everything myself so somethings take a while. Torque arm is getting made next

Got torque link bracket made and rear end welded up. Got my rod ends in mail yesterday, they do look impressive. Need to make panhard brackets and torque link next. #ad

Walbro 392 Supposed to be good to 600hp on a blow through set up

 

It's comin out nice so far. I like the torque arm setup as well as the front suspension.

 

Yeah its looking great. Didn't meen to critisize.
My 392 pump started running into delivery problems at around 500whp on the last 408 I put together. I ran -8 line. Maybe you won't have that problem. Just keep an eye on it.

 

More parts showed up today.Coil over shocks from Rod Parts Wharehouse and Pirate Jack Brake kit with drilled and slotted rotors, stainless brake lines . Picture does not include spindles but kit does.

Finished up rear suspension, got panhard bar welded in and went to install fuel tank and does not clear anything. Now I have to go fuel cell

Dug my head liner out and have some [SMALL] mouse holes to fix
