I have a 2.3 Turbo in my XR4Ti and I am trying to figure out what size injectors I am going to need. I figure it will be putting out somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-350rwhp, possibly a little more on race gas. It seems that 55lb and 72lb are my only choices for low impedance injectors, at least from what I can find.

So what size injectors should I go with?

For 300rwhp on a 4cyl. car, I'm coming up with about 61lb's. For 350rwhp, I'm getting about 67lb's. I'd say a set of 65lb injectors would work out.

Wow 61s...definately not needed for 300HP. One of the guys on Turboford was doing 400+ on 46 lbs injectors from a CFI 5.0 V8 car.

35s seem to be on the edge for 300rwhp I believe.

    35s are done at 270-280.

I had thought about getting injectors from a CFI car, but I would still need to have them cleaned and matched.

A few people have posted up some freshened up 46s and 52s on TF's classfieds.

But if you went new, i'd say those 55s would be good enough...and then some.

I've pondered finding some 38 CFIs just to have some head room before trying for more than 300.

You can do a search, or even go to the search page and get more information. The old Dodge turbo Lancers & stuff had an upgrade, Super 60's or something like that, they are like $40-50 each. I am not sure of the exact price, but they are pretty cheap, I dont know why others dont go this route as well, you can buy 8 of em if need be...

    350whp * 1.15 = 402bhp

    402bhp * .6bsfc = 241.5 lb/hr

    (241.5 lb/hr) / 4 injectors = 60.375 lb/hr each (100% DC)

    60.375lb/hr * 1.15 = 69.43lb/hr each @ 85% DC

Mopar Super 60's are drop in replacement and CHEAP... like $120 for a set of 4. (43# Injectors at our base pressure) Turn up the pressure a bit and you will net around 300 to the wheels. They are made to run 55# (IIRC) base so you can turn up base to get more out of them if your pump can take it.
