The plans are to paint and bring back the interior. I'll be putting some Cobra R rims (gloss black) and going with a satin black paint. I still have to work out the rest of the bugs in the tune and cooling system. Basically just need to get a bigger radiator and get the carb dialed in. It's a WIP for sure so it'll be going thru constant change.

Speaking of constant change... lol. Looks like I torched number 7. I'm yanking the LT1 for the last time. Coolant temps got a little high during a little full throttle blast. Blew a coolant hose. AFR seem to stay at 12.0 ish but it torched number 7 regardless.

The plan now is to jump on the LSx band wagon and build this thing right for the last time.

A little more progress. This thing is a bit taller than the LT1. Looks like I'm going to have to think about going EFI again. The damn oil pan is against the rack and the carb is sticking through the hood. The carb was about 2-3" lower with the LT1. Decisions decisions...

Oh and I had to hack into the firewall again lol.

Makin some mo progress! Got the mounts welded up and everything nice and centered. Need to do a bit of modification to the oil pan to get it to fit. The sump is super low on the truck pan and it needs to be thinned out a bit where it crosses the rack.

Had the wire speed up a little too high and got a bit of a booger weld but I really don't give a shit it'll hold just fine lol.

I like the out of the box builds. It is a great departure from the norm; the norm I fall in.

If you reuse the rail or any part of the original pan... Be sure to clean the crap out of it...then clean it again befote welding to ensure you get good welds ad no porosity. It can be done but cleanliness is key.

Yea I'm going to reuse the truck pan. I'm going to mill it down and redo the sump and the front portion of the pan. I'm basically going to add a new bottom. I'll be sure to clean this thing up real good before it goes to get welded. I should still be able to maintain a 1/2" between the rack and oil pan. I plan on enlarging the sump to give it a bit more capacity as well and add some baffling for slosh.

Made some more progress this weekend. Still have to finish welding up the tunnel and cutting the excess material off. Might not need much bondo when this one gets done.
