1970 Chevelle 496 BBC PT101 Single turbo blow through build

I have just started to build my first turbo setup, a 1970 Chevelle I have had since high school. It has been a full on drag car with two stages of nitrous that ran mid fives in the 1/8. I started mocking up the drivers header today I will post pictures as soon as I get a chance. Please feel free to offer any advice you may have.
    Thanks

My advice is leave the juice :chacha:
Really just for the extra kick in the butt and absolute zero lag.

I kept one of my plate kits just in case I decide down the road to try that, or to put a nozzle before the intercooler. I am hope there is no lag though. :2thumbs:

Wow there... I don't think the build sucks! Yes I would love to see some pics of the build! I love the 68-72 GM A body cars I think they are a great platform for a Turbo V8!

The headers have 2" primaries, and the crossover is 3". I have meth injection on it and I use -20 windshield washer fluid. On the street I can run up to 10 lbs (but it spins really bad lol) and on the track I use C16 and @16 lbs. it makes 1038 rwhp. I have a big Griffin radiator and two huge Spal fans and it still can get warm. My suggestion would be to put the biggest radiator in you can fit lol.

Thank you for that. Good pipe pics. Good advice. I sorted my cooling system this time last year, twin factory thermo fans and a big alum rad.

    Geez she makes nice power

Holy shit that build is nice and clean! You guys with these super nice builds make me feel like shit about my heap haha!

And damn man, 1038 RWHP! That is sick,I am sitting here telling my wife about your car and I am laughing at the thought of 1000+ horsepower!!

Got any track vids? I would love to see this beast in action.

Can't remember if you ever shared the rear suspension setup - Specific brand kit or DIY / Fabbed ladder setup?

Thanks!! It has 36" Autoweld ladder bars and QA1 single adjustable coilovers. Its about 3800 lbs and has had a best 60' of 1.27 I tightened up the front end about a half inch after that pass and it doesn't wheelie that high anymore.

That car that I raced is 2600 lbs, has the same size motor, 357 AFR heads, and two stages of nitrous lol
