Turbo 68 Mustang: S465, "Homebrew Headers"

Heres some pics of my car. I made my headers from a set of Hooker longtubes that I cut up.
    - 1" 5/8 Primarys,
    - Pass. side reduces to 2.5" then crosses over, Drivers side stays 3" thrn 90's up into T6 turbine ( I thought this disimilar size could equalize volume side to side)
ALll 16 gauge mild steel so far

Ive got a Turbo Daves BW S465 with 1.10 T6 turbine and JGS 50MM wastegate.

Tommorow UPS should arive with 2.5" 90 for the crossover to merge. Also wastegate inlet tube 2" U bend. And 1 7/8" 304 SS wastegate outlet

    What do you all think?

Does that mount act solid with the turbo weight on it? I'm just sort of wondering if what I'm thinking is going to go way overboard since it doesn't have a cross brace or anything.

Re: 1968 Mustang Coupe, Garage built 331,Funnel web Intake,Bennet ported Trick flows,

At the moment, the plan is a fairly sedate combo using a fuel injected mega squirt tuned 302/t5 combo, with a mp t-70. I had pics, but my hard drive crashed a few months ago leaving no pics but of the big blue tarp at the moment.

Closely following the 2 classic mustang builds I have found on this board, and almost as closely following every other thread I can click on with pretty pictures. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to watching this progress.

i ran my wastegate to atmosphere for about a year, but got tired of how loud it was (not that bad), I vented it in and like it better.... makes the exhaust sound pretty wild with it vented in.

So it sounds more wild with it dumping into downpipe. Interesting thanks Mike.

I run 2 60mm wastegates to atmosphere and it is ear piercing when they open. But the truth is that they don't usually open to much on the street. For tuning, open wastegates drown out things like detonation and other important engine noises.
