144 blowler help with carb

    well im just wondering what i have to do to my 750 holley to make it work with the 144 blower

    You'll need to plug the power valve (PV) vacuum reference port on the bottom of the main body (or throttle plate. . .either will work, but if you plug the main body, you don't need to worry about anything falling into the engine), and drill a new vacuum/boost reference hole into the side of the main body that intersects the PV cavity on the main body. You'll need to epoxy a fitting into the hole you just drilled so you can slip a vacuum hose over it. The other end of the vacuum hose needs to connect to a vacuum/boost source under the blower. . .e.g., one of the manifold runners.

    any good write up or article on this? i get the basis, but not exactly sure on what is what, never really was a carb guy

    mine ran fine just bolted to the inlet of the 174 powercharger - ran 10-12 psi boost on a STOCK as a rock longblock

    did u have any interferance with the carb line and the stud on the blower? mines just mocked up right now and i see it being a big problem

    I went 12.3 @117 with a 174 on a 351W with heads and cam. The carb I used was a 750 edelbrock. I could not get the holley to perform all that great. The edelbrock carb was hands down faster and more responsive.

    no mine was a 174 and i ran the fuel line facing rearward (inlet tward the firewall) no clearance issues
