1000 pump gas

    is a thousand hp on pump gasoline possible with a small block v8 turbocharged ? what would be your major design considerations to build such a engine

    As many cubes as you can get. Plus water/meth injection.

    You can get E85 at the pump so does that count. :)

    The more power the engine makes NA the less the turbo needs to do. Build a 408 stroker with really nice heads and intake, that should get you over 500hp. Then you only need 15-17psi(with a properly sized turbo) to hit 1000hp. With 93 octane and water/meth that would not be hard to do at all. Getting traction with 1000hp is a different story...

    thank you all ...detonation or auto ignition seem to be the enemy . on a nitrous engine building a engine with as tight as possible quench helps combat detonation ..it would appear to me that it would be just as critical on a turbo engine ? or are they more forgiving allowing a little more room to lower the compression?
