Ok, Here it goes - the buildup of buildups. A quick overview of the history of the car - a couple of years ago I wrecked it pretty good resulting on a smashed up fender, door, and quarter panel along with a control arm and wheels on the passenger side of the car. I semi-fixed the body work in order to run the car for the following season (2004) and took the car apart in October '04. Since then I have bought, and sold countless combinations including making a complete turbo kit and selling it as well. Now I've finally got it painted, engine built, suspension in the rear redone (painted, new gears etc), Engine bay filled etc. I've been holding off on the build thread so that it wouldn't go weeks without updates.I should be at the point in the build where something is done every week (or day)...Now I present....

    starting body work....

    engine bay getting close...

    after paint...

engine bay after paint - only the necessary holes were filled. The large opening on the drivers side is for the turbo "box" which, of course, will be painted as well.

    quarter windows getting re-done.

rear seat delete frame made of aluminum...

    paneling installed over frame

    carpet laid on panels

under dash mount for BS3 and Digi7 ignition box.

    On to the fun stuff...Dart Iron Eagle 4.030 X 3.25 :D

Note lifter tie bar intererence with side of block (this is #1 Intake valve)

Clearance block for tie bar - now bar can move all the way forward and not hit.

Note timing chain clearancing on the block face..

Heads - "pro-comp" from TMD on Ebay - pretty damn nice CNC work. Assembled with Manley Severe duty valves, Kmotion springs, Ti retainers etc..

    Ready for it's new home..

Rear end in the car and Aerospace brakes ready for action..

    Front brakes ready to go...
part of the complete stainless brake lines (entire car done in stainless)

    getting close...

    as it sits today!

It's just waiting for the dowels for the back of the block so I can put the trans in this weekend. The car will go away to storage for a couple of weeks so that I can do some work oN Andrew's car and a couple of others. Once they are done it will come back home for the finishing touches..

Looking great so far, I will have to keep my eye on this build up...what size turbo did you decide to go with?

Well it's kind of up in the air - I will probably use a large frame 88 for now. I already have all of the expensive stuff like the Tial 44mm wastegates, BOV, Spearco FMIC w/ 4" inlet and outlets, and even have the turbo (if I use that one)...

    Damn this stuff is expensive!

Looking good! The pictures don't do it justice... looks awesome in person!

I was especially impressed with all of the brake lines, etc.

On the rear seat delete - yes. It is plain ol' carpet from Lowe's. The remainder of the carpet (front and hatch area) is just molded factory replacement type stuff.

Thanks! Not sure which master cylinder it is, probably a dodge variant of some sort. It came as a kit from Jegs made by Aerospace. The only thing I did to it different was polished the aluminum piece.
