well ive been here for a while and building this car for what seems like forever but has been a year and a half i think. thought id post here in case anyone wants to see. id like to thank everyone here especially the blowthrough guys for all the help and ideas. this is a street car first and formost and im just trying to go as fast as possible with what i have. i dragged this car home almost 2 years ago.
heres a summary of pics a long the way. ive built this whole car at home with hand tools and my first welder just to tack things together. my buddy sean did all my final welding and i couldnt have done this project without him

this is when i first got the car.. no interior, nothing under the hood. barely together rear suspension thats it! its gotten a 6 pt bar, 1.5 inch global west swaybar frt and 1 inch rear. boxed control arms. kyb shocks. s10 5 lug conversion with bigger brakes. not going to set the world on fire but for sure upgrades!

heres the motor when i bought it. it actually was built by a friend of mine and has been run N/A and juiced its whole life. its been in a street s10, a minitubbed luv truck and a tube chassis roadster! its taken everything ever thrown at it! 4.3 v6 forged rods, pistons raised runner 23deg bowtie heads flow 300+/200 int/exh @.500 lift with peak numbers around 320/240 up higher.
its an off the shelf comp roller 224 525 110 cam yeah i know its not right for boost but its going to have to work for now. the shortblock is getting updated asap! this engine is also 11.1 CR!!! yikes! it always ran on pump gas without problems with decent timing. i think due to the heart shaped chambers.. anyway its being run now BOOSTED with E85 for the fuel! id sure like to sneak up to 10 psi on this current combo. ive got a 5 psi spring in the 44 tial WG so we'll see. this motor has good stuff in it and has make almost 280 wheel ALL MOTOR with crappy small headers and exhaust. it has run 7.30s at 94 NA in a 2800lb roadster on methanol fuel. my car should weigh about 2850 with me and fuel. maybe less..

i had some summit weld wheels on here and changed them for these salad shooters but i think im going back to the welds soon. the salad shooters are ok... they technically would make better street wheels.

i started building the hotside with a box of bends and a hacksaw. i literally just grabbed some beers and started drawing it out in my mind and i think because the engine compartment is so small this layout works good. also the headers have the ability to work with twins later if needed! the pipes go into the holes in the fenders and join together in a upward direction near the lower rad outlet and go from 2.5 inch each to a single 3inch up pipe/ T4 flange.

well that pt63 was not going to work and talking with dave@majestic one morning produced a S400SX 75mm!! i wanted room to grow and this turbo fits the bill nicely!! i tried not to skimp on the hotside (turbo and accessories) or fuel system-- magnafuel pro star 500,-10 up and back -12 feed, sumped tank aeromotive 13202, well except for the carb. ive built this one and am going to do the e85 conversion. its set up right now for gas but the quickfuel blocks will get me in the right direction to start. anyway i think its going to be fun no matter what the short term results are.

sweeeet. I'm in the process of a single turbo 4.3 daily driver build myself. '03 S10 ecu, looking for around 350-375rwhp. I've got a 55mm and a 64mm mitsu that are the same frame/flanges, so I'll probably start with the little one and move to the larger if needed(I have two of the 64's, one needs full rebuild, one was fresh but the compressor wheel ate some debris)

Is it still a individual pin(stock type) crank or aftermarket odd-fire? Those heads are a killer find, I'll be sporting pocket ported vortecs.

its even fire.. id like to find a nice used odd fire crank and convert my pro billet dizzy. im very curious to find out how much power the even fire crank can support with the right prep. i plan on building another shortblock with aftermarket caps and a short fill.
