Doen anybody know who makes custom intercoolers? The only one I know of is Jim Sheenan on this site www.toohighpsi.com , I think he wants $850 shipped. Does this look like a good deal? I'm kinda intercooler shopping right now, "just looking".... THANKS

Any of the big turbo kit companies will make them, as far as budgeted orientated ones, you got me, I'd think just find a person who can weld Al or whatever and have them combine some JY cores. I bought one of those Incon cores that is posted somewhere on here, I think it was $350 to my door for the core, they had complete intercoolers as well, seemed like a hell of a deal for that big ass Spearco core and it will mount down low how I want to mount one anyway.

I was planning to gear up to start doing that myself very soon, but I can not do it just yet.

I do know of a chassis builder that has done a little bit of intercooler work that could probably do it, but not sure on the price. What are you looking to have done? Something similar to an ATI procharger cooler or something "wild and custom"?

Well I want one that has 2- 2.25 inlets near to bottom of the cooler and 1- 3" outlet near the top of the cooler. Basically just like the one on www.toohighpsi.com . I was just wondering if anyone made them here for cheaper (<$825 shipped). I'd really like a water cooled one but I think that would be out of my league. I wont be buying one tomorrow or anything when will you be able to make these? Do you have any idea on $$$$ for your coolers. You could always make me your guinea pig car, you know make me the cooler for free and I'll send everyone your way when I really start running some BIG numbers:D

I think the guy Snipe got the core from also has all the stuff to make an incon cooler for like 700, do a search on twinturbostroker, i think he's the 1 who posted the info

As for JY stuff, get 3 dsm core and weld them together and have some1 make end tanks for them, the cores in the jy's near me are 35-45$.
And if you wanted to do it super cheap, just get 2 cores and use 1 for each turbo and make them join in a Y before the meter, that setup is how the most Turbo vette's are both callaway and LPE, even the LS1 procharger kit is like that

    Good Luck

He does, I found they are a little slow to ship and you have to follow up with them a good bit but in the end it was worth it to me because I saved a good chunk on the core at the time.

I plan to have sheet metal ends put on it and will end up with a IC for less than $700 complete but that is mainly because I will get my end caps put on for basically free plus parts of course.

Jeremy, get ahold of BJ, we can get diesel IC's for dirt cheap, if you give him the specs he can have one made up for a lot less than these guys are asking. The only thing is that it wont be as nice as theres and will have a few leaks most likely, but it will save a lot of cash and should work for what you would like to do.

the price is basically fluff and nothing else. Get 3 dsm cores for about a hundred bucks, then pay someone about $150 for tanks and welding everything up. That's easily $25/hour provided they're really slow at welding

that intercooler pictured above would do nothing but hurt performance on a turbo mustang. It'd be so restrictice causing a massive pressure drop across the core, therefore making your turbo work harder and thus causing even more heat!!!
This is why a verticle flow intercooler can support a lot more HP than a horizontal flow style b/c of the surface area the air has to flow. Bigger surface area, less pressure drop!
