    Had another good day at the track today. Last time out my homemade boost controller wouldn't give me more than 8 psi, so I fabbed another one with parts from Home Depot. About $35 later I have better adjustment of boost. Anyway, set it up for 10psi this morning and made a few passes:

    Pass 1:
    60ft. = 1.468
    1/8 = 6.683
    mph = 102.45
    1/4 = 10.553
    mph = 125.79

    Pass 2:
    60ft. = 1.551
    1/8 = 6.753
    mph = 102.17
    1/4 = 10.636
    mph = 125.40

    Tune was as follows: 36lb. injectors at 48psi base fuel pressure, 10 psi boost, 26 degrees timing up to 3000rpm/ 24 degrees timing after 3000rpm, EGT's 1512-1547 degrees F, 100 octane unleaded.

    Way to go Rob.

    DAMN that thing is haulin'. Looking at the 60' i bet it felt like a Mack truck rear ending you from the starting line. That's a very stout and CLEAN ride you got there.

    Haha, very nice runs, that must have felt great. How much did you pay for your trany and converter? New or used? Now turn that beotch up to 15 and run 9's. :D

    Thanks Brent. You're car ain't no slouch either... hopefully I'll be in that HP/Torque range next year with a "real" motor. If I recall, didn't you make some crazy HP numbers on a stock shortblock? I wonder how much more mine will take.

    Thanks Brian. Yes, it did feel great. The driver's side front tire is gettin' a few inches off the ground. It launched hard enough on my first pass to knock the fuse panel cover off (I felt it bounce off my leg). The transmission and converter were bought new from Dynamic. Don't remember the individual prices, but the trans with an SFI bell, SFI flexplate, 10" race converter, and blockplate was about $3000.

    Hey thanks. It's a 3.73 gear with a 31 spline Ford truck posi and Strange axles. 28" X 10.5 ET Drag. Seems like I'm just about out of gear at the top end. Probably going to go to a 3.55. No more boost until I get more fuel pump and injector.

    You are giving me knew hopes and scaring me at the same time with my setup. I will be running a stock 110k mile shortblock with Twisted Wedge heads (stage 3 port and polish, etc), ported lower GT40 intake and GT40 upper (might go Cartech upper since I can get one for $150), 42lb injectors, 2 GN turbos, Intercooled, etc. Only thing I wont have is a built C4 behind it for a while, just a T5 with clutch and shifter.

    Definitely some good numbers there, now turn the boost up and let her eat.. :D

    Although I'm not sure what Junkyards you guys are shopping but I don't see one component on Engineered's setup that can be had at a junk/salvage yard. :rolleyes:

    On a side note if it was salvage yard built, it would cost twice as much, friggin car recyclers think their shit is made of gold or something.
