Am I seeing right. Ball bearings are missing?

Yes. No pieces were in the blower case or the oil pan, so I'm at the conclusion that the bearing was bad before I ever installed it.

I rebuilt the blower friday afternoon, all went ok, but I managed to crack the impeller seal, so its gonna have to come apart once again, it's driveable, but has a little oil leak.

I have been out on a few drives, temps stay in check, most of the time the electric fans arent even on. Oil pressure is around 35psi at hot idle. Transmission shifts like it should. I've only had it to a few pounds of boost till it starts to sound un happy, but it gets to a few psi really fast. I'll probably work on some timing tables a little bit, then take it up to Robin Lawrence's chassis dyno to really get it ironed out.

Took the blower off this morning to change out the impeller seal, only to find the gear case O ring had gotten pinched outside its groove causing the leak, the volute and impeller area were bone dry.

Also relocated the tailpipes, I just couldn't take it anymore with them coming out the back.

Got the blower back on this afternoon just in time for a nice rainstorm to hit, so we went out and cruised around in the rain.

You're gutsy, I don't dare run mine around in the rain. Too much go for me on wet pavement!

I do plan on doing some long hauls in this car so driving in rain is pretty much inevitable. My tires seem to handle wet pavement pretty well too.

I think a lot of mine is that I've not yet finished a lot of the rest of my traction upgrades. I'm running good tires, but there's more to staying stuck than that. It doesn't like to stay stuck on DRY pavement, I'm scared to do wet... Which is probably a problem when I live in Portland where its wet more than dry :p

Very nice! So you've got this thing down :p

My '66 Plymouth is actually my third build as well but its by FAR my most powerful. Running a 11:1 compression 426 big block on 20PSI is a whole new world for me. None of my other builds had problems with chassis twisting or wanting to wheelie when it does hook up. I'm learning a lot from this one :p

I'm GUESSING since you've got a chute on that Mustang you've got some experience there!

I used to race years ago, I built the new edge mustang for drag and drive events, but life took a turn. I sold my mortgage free home of 12 years, moved, and now have a small monthly payment, lol. That pretty much took racing out of the picture, but its worth it. My young kids have a great neighborhood to play in, a huge yard, all around better.

Now we have the 53' with a supercharged LS for a family car. I've been daily driving it's for almost 2 weeks now, making a punch list of minor things that need improved on.

There's a guy that does Drag Week with a 53, it has a turbocharged 6.0 and runs 8's

Yep, I believe that guy has a build thread on here, or LS1 tech. The fox bodies I raced back in the early 2000's had V1s on them, always liked the sound, just didnt want the foxbody this time, and I kinda wanted to go against the turbo/LS trend.

Finally went out and did a little beating on the 53'. Did a back road smoke show to check that the limited slip was working, two black stripes confirmed it is. Then did a few spirited pulls. Everything on the gauges look good, pulls pretty good, but the boost seems to stay flat at 4.5 psi. So I'm thinking I've now got some belt slippage. I didn't datalog anything, but I should be able to looked at the AFR learn table to see what boost it made. Seems like it's pulling way harder than a mild 5.3 with 4.5psi though.

Did some data logs this week, nor sure what's off. Fueling is a tad lean at WOT but not by much. Fuel pressure is rising from 43psi base to 54psi peak, 1:1 regulator.

The kicker? My 3.5" display only shows 4.5psi, boost. I double checked my map sensor scale. Compared the barometric channel against the map. Barometric says 100.1, MAP reads 99, so that's good. When the laptop is hooked up, the boost gauge never comes off of zero.

I bench tested my current map, and it appears to be functioning correctly. Monday I'm putting a holley map sensor on it, and going to reference from a different source. If the MAP is correct at just under 5 psi, then my fuel regulator is more like a 2:1. And my boost sucks, with no signs of belt slippage. Boost is smooth and linear with rpm.

After fighting belt issues, I'm starting to look at pulling the blower off in favor of a pair of turbos. Looking at some gtx3076 in a t3, .82ar. or a 1.06ar.

After me having 3 different centerfusial supercharged cars and I was never happy with them. What your looking for comes from positive displacement superchargers.

Welp, there's a supercharger for sale, hopefully I can sell it to get some turbo parts coming. I've spent way too much time and money to get this vortech V1 to work on this LS, only to fight belt slip. It belongs on a foxbody lol.
