Ya know, I actually have been thinking about that a bit. I haven't made a decision just yet. The front exit fits, works and makes it crazy convenient to access stuff, but dang it's annoying on the highway.

I still have the old Hookers I could repair and put back in. I am not on any sort of deadline any longer so I can take my time getting this sorted and put back together.

I think you should keep updating this thread. There aren't many active threads left on here and even fewer are Ford powered. I, for one, am curious how well those heads work.

Ok, well we'll see. Some people get pissy about that sorta thing, but I guess they can move along if they don't like it. Haha.

Yesterday I sent the car off to my house for a period of hibernation while I work on Greenbean and Jake's 95GTS. It will have to stay there for a while because I can't be clogging up the shop with 3 inop cars.

Today I adjusted the rockers and put the intake and carb back on it.

I also went ahead and put the alternator on and somehow, someway managed to injure myself. Are you ready for this?

So I am tightening the big bolt that the alternator hangs on and the box-end wrench I am using slips off, flies through the air, much like a ninja star, hits the edge of my eye socket and leaves me with a blood gushing gash. Never in my life have I had such a thing happen. Gotta say, I am growing weary of experiencing new stuff in regards to automobiles. Ooof.

All this happens as my 85-year-old dad is laying under his Ford Escape changing the oil and asking me for tools. Haha. Here I am trying to find his tools and apply pressure and sop up the blood. I'm 53 and still handing my dad tools. Haha.

Well...... I 100% have to take the pan back off.

When I was putting the rod bearings in it, I checked the package to see if there was an upper bearing and a lower bearing. I didn't see anything indicating they were different. Now I am learning these bearings are marked on the back with the part number and a U or L following. Not that I could read that anyway without my readers on! Haha.

    Better safe than broken.

I know the feeling of not being able to see anything up close. I have been buying safety glasses that are bifocals. Normal if you look through the top, 2x or 2.5x through the bottom. It sure helps since I don't want to take a chance with my good reading glasses in the shop.

Flipped it over, popped the pan off and yep, I had a 50/50 chance of getting them wrong and I did. Every one of them was backwards.

    I feex.

That happened to me the first time I got the N bearings. Easy fix.
