1985 S10 Blazer 4.8 GT45 Dragy testing 4-10#

    Mild build 4.8 9.70-1 w/ 216/220 cam
    TH400 w/ TCI SSF 10” 3500-3800 converter
    8.8 w/ 2.73 Ford Racing Trac-loc

    It was for a little while, I had a check ball issue in the forward drum; totally melted the clutches/steels. It’s been down for upgrades for too long. Best it ran on 10# was a 7.00 1/8th @97 mph street testing.
    upgrading the TH400 to 6-6-4 clutches, steel forward hub, JEGS trans-brake and a 10” PTC specs by Dusty Bradford to work with my 2.73 gears. It’s setup to run 1/8 on the street using 1st and 2nd similar to a PG.
    If I wanted to switch over and maximize the 1/4 mile he recommended changing to a 3.73-4.10 to better use 3rd gear.
