Managed a new best last weekend at Rockingham Dragway.

The car is the standard sell out build; 93 Mustang coupe, stock bottom end / stock head 5.3, two Gt35's, TH400, and a Holley Terminator X.

I'm pretty happy with how the car is performing, just wanted to share!

    Thanks!

I did rings, bearings, main studs, and dingle balled it. Stock aluminum block, crank, rods, wrist pins, and pistons from a 2009-ish Silverado.

I got the engine from a dealer that replaced it under warranty because of the lifter tick issue.

I did Johnson short travel lifters, cam, head gaskets, main and head studs, 5.3/5.7 HO head gaskets, stock rockers with trunnion upgrade, and TFS 5/16 pushrods.

I should mention that I went through the engine pretty carefully. I spent quite a lot of time deburring / stress relieving the block, took the time to set up all the bearing clearances, set ring gap, etc... It kinda comes across like I just stuffed the truck motor in the car and went racing. A bit more to it than that, lol.

yeh plenty of peeps say sbe, but they did oiling mods, spec pan, oil pump, etc, etc
Of course thats the guys that make gajillion hp.
Still, 8 anything pass on sbe consistently isnt easy peasy.

    Impressive though. Nice work.
I have one of those turbos on a 4.3 that I have yet to run and was curious how they are doing for power. Looks like they work pretty good.
