    anybody have any problems with maxspeedingrods universal turbo kits?

    I have no experience with them, I looked into them 2years ago, was going to buy a turbo just for the turbine housing (cheaper than just buying the housing) but the temp ratings for their products was my biggest concern.
    Standard turbo turbine housings rated up to 700*C
    Street turbo turbine housings rated up to 850*C
    Sport turbo turbine housings rated up to 1020*C

    My exhaust gas temp readings are much higher than these ratings, but I drive a 4cylinder at high boost. Perhaps it's different with V8's.
    I would look into what your exhaust gas temps are going to be on the engine your runnig at the boost you are planing to run.

    They can't be any worse than Ebay China turbo's and many people have had good success with those.

    I know in the early 2000's china turbos had a habit of splitting at the seam of the turbine housing and sometimes the compressor housing.
