Looking good! Judging by the firewall it looks like the 4200 is a good fit and will package nicely.

How about some overall pics of the truck? Sounds like a really cool project.

Hello Chad, Yes this I6 fits this truck well. I had an lq4 / 4l80e planned for it but this I6 sort of came to me in a package deal so i decided to use it and sold the lq4 / 4l80e package. At first i liked the ls v8 better for this build but now after playing with this i6 and learning more about the 4200 and how well it fits i now like the 16 better for this build.

Will post more pics of the truck as i go for now i am building the chassis and suspension first. The cab is just setting on the chassis in these pics. It looks like i will have to channel the cab a total of 4" over the chassis rails as i want the bottom of the running boards to be the same height as the chassis rails bottom. The s10 chassis i got was free but it was stripped bare of all suspension and since i am not a fan of s10 front geometry anyway and i had a extra set of 70'S Chevelle tube A arms i am going to try to make them work. Once i get the front suspension done i can place the front fenders tire opening centered to the tire so i can place the cab and make its mounts

I know its been awhile but i am finally getting stronger after that C19 shit almost took me out so back to this build. Decided to box, C notched and add bracing to the S10 Chassis. Made the Chevelle Tube A-arm mounts, Motor & mid plate mounts, Cab mounts and working on the rear trans mount

glad your feeling better. Can’t wait to the atlas 4200 perform. I thought about adding a turbo to my 08 trailblazer . If you can control the vvt it’s a gamechanger. From watching nivlac’s fairmont it’s definitely picked up some power.

Do you know anyone who's tuned one of these with an E67? (I believe that's the 08-09 box.) I'm just wondering how difficult it is to get set up.

I'm eyeballing this platform if I get fed up with the AMC in my Eagle.

Ive never had any experience tuning them, but it's basically the same ecm that the ls platform ran so it's easily tuned. Even the older ecms can be tuned with hp tuners, but are very limited. Stand alone harnesses are available along with oil pans, and trans adapters. There's a good group on fb which includes a couple of guys who have done a ton with this platform
