Doing some reading on the Termi X 4150, and I know this has been covered a million times on here. I'd be good at say 850 crank hp with the 1200 setup pretty well? I know getting to this point on a home made blow through was pretty easy, hoping the Termi would make it that much easier. I have worked on fuel injected my entire career, don't know why I don't want to just go that route.

There's pretty good support for both if using it on a typical application. The microsquirt may require a little more knowledge, but isn't too difficult. One thing to consider when looking, is that the Holley comes with an o2 sensor, and a 3.5" display for gauges or whatnot, so the price isn't much different if you need one.

The ignition set up on a small block can be controlled by the holley which does away with the need for an ignition box. You can use a TFI factory distributor on most holley kits. That makes it cheap to do timing control.

Or coil near plug when you decide you want something better.

So dumb question. If I'm planning on changing my intake manifold anyway since I want to get away from the dual plane, should I just go EFI with the Holley Terminator with a manifold and injectors, or would I be able to reach my goals of streetable 9-10 second car with the 4150 Terminator Stealth? I like the blow through look for sure. But I think I know which is better in the long run...

You are correct, the efi intake would be better off in the long run but the blow thru will work fine. The snipers will NOT work with E85 tho, so that may affect your decision. I have not personally put E85 in one of those sniper systems, so I have to go on Holley's instructions.

Alright, I'm in the house and loving the garage. Still trying to get it situated the way I want, and run an outlet for my mig machine and future tig.

Just been driving the car to work and around SOMD. Haven't had to touch it much, finally changed the oil since I built the turbo setup....lol.

Prepping my funds for a Dart SHP/forged bottom end, and in the planning stages of what the AOD is going to require to live north of 700 whp. So far it's 4r70 gears, hardened input shaft, servo upgrade, Freddy Brown valve body w/ OD lockout, red clutches. I'm imagining a 1 piece input, already have a non lock PTC converter.

All said and done, should I just LS swap it? :/

    Looks mean!

Also I vote microsquirt if you want to tinker with it. I've had fun with mine.

Absolutely not. Put a 6r80 behind it. 2 overdrives and I've gone 9.5 at 150 so far on a stock one

Never even had those on my radar. I will do some reading. That would be pretty slick.

Happy 4th everyone, got pretty well settled into the new house. Just received a PrimeWeld 225X TIG machine so I'm going to start tackling some charge pipe to get rid of silicone couplers, saving my pennies for a Dart block then go from there!

First project in the new house was welding up a small trailer hitch for the Comet, then ended up making a flag pole holder for it for the Holiday.

Alright, time has come. Working on a forged Dart SHP that will end up with TW 11r 205s. Sticking with blow-through for now, it has been working surprisingly well even up to 7-8 psi. Afraid to go any higher on the stock block(347) and usually run it around 5-6. Just found a Weiand Xcelerator on ebay, so I'm following in Brent's footsteps and trying that out. Everything I read says that's the one to use for blow through and what I got it for I think I can make money back if I end up wanting EFI. Will update as it happens. 20210805_115321.jpg #ad

FWIW those manifolds have very small runners that are designed to cover a stock port not something that uses a 1262/1262R gasket. When I tried to put one on my R349 engine with TFS 206R heads the top 3/16" of the intake ports weren't covered by the manifold. I spoke to Brent about it since he was running TFS Hi Ports I believe and he told me that his manifold was heavily modified to work. They had welded about 1/2" of material on the top of each port and reshaped and straightened the runners. I have been using a Vic Jr on my engine and while the mixture distribution was less than ideal with the C&S 850 on my combo once I switched to a CSU 750 everything evened out nicely. The Vic Jr also seems to work fine with throttle body injection.
