Wish I had the 60 of the radial tired stang in the left lane. Pass before was a 1.30. Was cooling off after that and should’ve bumped up the tire pressure and tightened the rebound on the front shocks. Right when it got to full extension it rattled the tires pretty good. Now to decide on upgrading the cage or what I’m going to do next.

It was. I had to make sure I beat him even though that qualifying pass got tossed for being under 8.50. The LS crowd got beat by and old SBC in a tractor. They were making excuses about forgetting to turn the co2 on first time I ran them. Well they turned it on and I still got em. Fun stuff.

Well ran the old MPT70’s out of gas finally. Went best of 8.25@164 so can’t complain. Picked up a new pair of these 70/70’s to see what would happen and damn they made a difference. Picked up mph and is driving through the converter hard without changing anything else. Guess it’s time to upgrade that next.

No times yet. It’s all back together and going to the track next weekend. So far everything has changed as it should from just driving a bit. Put new strange brakes on the rear and a few other little things lost another 50lbs off the truck. We will see what happens in a week.

Looking good. I would be interested to know what it weighs after all of this as well as time slips. I love it when trucks are getting it done.

Last weight of the weekend was 3320 with 10 gals of fuel. Down from 3375 last season. Weekend went decent. Went best of 8.44@161 but the new converter with stator as delivered was a bit too aggressive for my engine powerband. Shift drop was 1500+ and would get a big boost dip at the shifts and stalled the engine acceleration enough to really mess with the suspension tuning as well. Lane at PTC sent me another stator and installed it yesterday. Tested it on the highway today and holy is that so much better. Much better manners and thing wicks up instantly now. Should be good to go for the next trip to the track.

Update. New converter stator was the right move. Best pass of 8.23@167. Can’t complain at all for it being 90 degrees and humid out.
