Hey guys what do you think of using a thicker head gasket to lower compression and chance of detonation? Also would you guys get forged pistons and rods? 3.8l v6 mustang.

Well if you mean with the tune, hp ect. I'm just gonna be super conservative keep it safe see what it wants to do but def not go over 450 if it even wants to get there. Really I just wanted to build it. That's the whole entree for me having fun putting it together. Like I said in the intro just taking my time doing it right learning some stuff. It's not my daily I don't depend on it not gonna b on the track with it. I thought it would b cool to hang out with friends and do it but idk what happened they got shitty real quick about the build. Continuously telling me it's a waste, it'll never work ect... Even after I've explained 1000 times it's just for fun, they never got it. So now I'm building it solo but I enjoy the work I've saved a decent budget and I'm in no rush. I think it'll b pretty cool when it's finished, something tht hasn't been done many times and I can take it to meets every other weekend or whatever. The cars in good shape I've had it for 7 yrs and the last three it's been collecting dust. And it'll probably be something I work on forever always making it better.

Hey I had to delete the URL s but I got it to work. And YEA MAN I think that's how cool this one will be but in a lesser street version seems like he had some real pros and a GOOD budget but I hope to get there. Like I said just on a slightly lower degree.

Yeah; that is a nice build in that article but not ideal for street duty. It's too bad your car isn't newer with the 3.7 V6. Guys are boosting the heck out of the stock engine and running respectable times.

it's fine by me I'm not wanting to run big boost or going down the track. I like the body style. It's the anniversary and the last of tht more sporty look. But yea I'm stoked I'm on board with the new boosted v6 fad. I think they're sick and the whole concept seems perfect. I hope I can get it done right
