car launches like a pig

    I don't get it. finally got the car out on the road. romped on it and it never even smoked the tires. before the install, it would melt the tires down to the rims. after it got going, it was brutal, but it took a while. what's up? i'm a newbie, but I thought it would at least be kinda like it was. thanks

    Power takes three things at the right time; air, fuel and spark. You are missing one at least to some degree. Definitely need more info on the combo to give specific advice.

    410 stroker, e bay turbo, when it spools it's gone, but it won't launch like it used to. I guess a transbrake is in my future

    Absolutely needs transbrake if you want to even get close to what its capable of running. IMHO any combo that can spool and launch hard without transbrake, 2/3-step and possibly bump box will probably be so small it will severely choke the exhaust before half track. Tuneup also has a lot to do with it on a large turbine/housing A/R as well but I still don't see it happening without transbrake and 2-step at a minimum.
