I am almost afraid to ask, what else does it screw up besides the rack mounting points?

If that is the case it will be coming off and the original one going back on. Is there a K member out there that has factory mounting points?

Check yours first. I have good luck with upr and others say team z works well too.

I have used both on my SN95 cars and they both fit well. I believe you can ask for one that moves the wheels forward from either company, but they offer stock mounting locations.

I DID have to grind a little on the motor mount tab to get my power rack to fit, but a manual rack goes on just fine.

I test fit the tires today. It appears I need to move the K member forward about 1/2" to center the wheels. At least I didn't have the problem nxcoupe had with the wheels being 1 1/2" too far forward however this could make my steering shaft length problem worse.

Good to hear. Maybe they changed their product?

The shaft will pull up into the firewall a bit if left unconnected for a while. You can just pry it back out, I had to do that with mine a while back.

Fedex brought some shiny new parts today. A set of Scorpion Endurance 1.72 ratio roller rockers. I had bought a set of Comp Cams 1.6 Ultra Pro Magnum rocker for the 327 and then found out they are too short to work with the 11R heads. They will work fine on the TFS 'R" heads so they will be on the 388" engine. The Scorpion Endurance series apparently will work fine with the 11R heads so they will give the F303 another .030" lift which should help it make more power. They should also lighten the valvetrain a little replacing the old Comp Cams Pro Magnum steel rockers.

I have a very similar combo with a very similar issues just falls over after 5000 rpm. Guess I need to check the valve springs. I wish I could fit a midsize t4 without redoing hot side.

Probably a good place to start. Mine would start building incredible power around 3800 but would roll over and die at 5000. The wideband was showing crazy lean but the plugs were wet with fuel.

Exact same symptoms minus the lean part. I plan on switching to a Holley system from DFI over the long winter in north east ND. Looking forward to both of us figuring out the issue.

    Good Luck!

O2 sensors detect oxygen, not fuel, so what you are seeing is so much fuel going into the cylinder, the spark can't ignite it and what comes out is fuel and air, which the sensors sees as lean

I have been chatting with Pete from Hughes, aka TurboComet, and my convertor is on the way to him to be restalled for the 327 and made into a bolt together unit. Shipping from Canada to the southern USA and back is expensive and Canada Customs wants to charge tax and duty on it every time it comes north again. By making it a bolt together Pete can send me new stators as required with are a lot lighter and cheaper than a convertor to ship. He is also going to send me an extra stator for the 388W so I don't need to buy another convertor.

Looking forward to spring so I can try out the upgraded convertor.:2thumbs:

If I was running an auto, I would do the same and deal with Pete. I do not know of anybody here who even restalls converters. On the shipping though all you have to do is mark down that the item is being worked on, not sold and you do not pay taxes at the border, but it is a pia.

There isn't anyone left in Canada that builds or repairs convertors so shipping to the USA is a must. Generally if you ask the broker to fill out more paperwork for you the taxes don't have to be paid but they charge you 3x as much for brokerage at least in my experience.

My torque converter is done, Pete started a thread about it in the Hughes Forum. It looks great.
