They've been great in the past and got me back up and running, but I don't understand the roadblock to this strategy that clint and adam set up for me in 2012 and again in 2016? Anyway, love to tune with it but it can be a pain sometimes. I'm in balls deep now, so can't back out now.

Phenomenal! Do you realize that you're making more power than I was with a twin turbo 5.0? I did ~420 rwhp with about 10 psi with GT40X heads, stock cam, and a GT40 Intake. Good work, man! Love the sound of a turbo making most of the power. From the front, it's about all you can hear.

One degree of timing added. I'm calling it good at this point. Fuel system won't be able to keep up with any more power.

Thank you Chris, that means a lot to me. I've worked hard on this and every project I've worked on. It's nice to have it finally start paying off. Now to upgrade brakes and rear end.

Video as promised. It is really long, fast forward to about 3/4 of the way to see the pull. The sound quality is better on this one.

I'm toying with opening the downpipe and make a pull on the dyno to see how much my exhaust is restricting it. Any opinions? It's currently 3" downpipe to 2 - 2.5" dynomax mufflers and tailpipes.

I’d have to guess 5-10 hp gain open DP.

That's what I'm thinking, no real huge gains.

I don't think you'll find much there, either. On the bigger motored street cars, the turbine is often the weakest link in the chain, so to speak. I assume you're running straight through mufflers, or if not, that's the restriction, not the DP.

I'm running dynomax mufflers. I was going to drop the downpipe when I noticed 3 of the trans bolts were missing. Guess the threads in the bellhousing are junk. So I'm going to put 3 in it and tighten it all up, if it works, I'll drop the pipe, if not, I've got bigger fish to fry and it will have to be later on down the road.

Ok, so got kicked in the gut last night. Found one trans bolt laying under the car, dug up some more in my bolt stash, and stuck a bolt in one of the holes and it slid all the way in. So no threads left. That sucks. Trans needs to come out anyways. It wasn't sounding good and it's leaking, so I guess out it comes and I'll order a helicoil set for those holes and just go thru the brakes and everything else when I get it on the lift. It's getting a different rear axle and 3.73 gears as well. Be a few weeks and I'll try it on the dyno again with everything fixed up.

Geez, man. You're going through a lot of shit with this one. Sorry, brother.

Dynomax Ultra flos are straight through. Dynomax Super Turbos are chambered.

I believe these are ultra flows but I'll confirm when I'm under it fixing the trans and bell.

Would it be easier to switch from standard to metric bolts and go up one size instead of using helicoils ?

They are metric 12x 1.75 factory. I'd have to drill the holes in the trans out larger if I did that. So three holes are done. Replacement helicoil brand won't work with the recoil brand kit. So have to order from fastenal tues. It just never ends.

Yep , the next size up would be a 1/2 or 13mm and I knew you would have to drill the ears. I just am not a fan of Helicoils. LOL I understand there is never and end sometimes.

Got 3 done. I'm a big fan of helicoils. I did a cobra intake with about 6 helicoils, some gorrilla had overtightened every one of them to try and stop this pile from leaking vacuum. I fixed it and part of that fix was repairing all the holes. Stronger than ever now. So I'm pretty confident it'll be fine. Thanks for looking out for me. If I didn't value input I wouldn't have started this thread.

Glad to see you got it all fixed up! Just put some loc-tite on those heli-coils and you should be good to go.

In my experience with my set up, my car was very sensitive to any change to the down pipe and I was running 4". I'd drop it, i think you will be surprised how much you might pick up.
