Yeah I took a few years off from the car but got back on it around 2016. I tried to call you back then but not sure if your number changed.

Glad to have you back! Lots of people are slowly migrating back from facebook. I like following along builds that are easy to locate and I can search and actually find info that is useful and correct. Keep at it!

Thanks very much, I do appreciate that. It is very nice being able to ask questions from people who have been doing this for a while. It is also nice to have people here willing to offer there advice instead of there egos!

For sure. This one will be a 25.5 92 lx, mini tubbed on a 315 with with my favorite, a 400+” Windsor. I still have the 5518r turbo and will start out with that, see where we are and possible upgrade. I will post more details as I move along with this. The car is fugly, so I’mnot posting any pics until after paint.

I like the big inch Windsor combo, the last motor was dead reliable for about 3 years at 20-30psi. Of all things, the cam dowel pin broke and destroyed the valves. After breaking the motor down, I took the heads to a machine shop. The valve seats had been corroded so bad from the ethanol they couldn’t be salvaged, I thought that was astounding. The old motor only had Mahle 4032 pistons in it as well, they weren’t even 2618 forged! Goes to show if your tune is safe, turbos are very easy on parts. This motor went a best of 8.25@167 weighing 3620lbs!

What’s up guys, haven’t been on here in a long time! Got the new build out on track in 2021 and had a good year this year. New setup is a 427w, twin 76mm borg s400’s, Shearer front mount A/W, fox lake 244 high ports, Morris hydraulic roller, th400 w/ gear vendors OD, 315’s, still on E85, 25.5 cert cage. The car is not light and weighs 3549. Still has interior, radio, power windows and locks. I’ll see if I can get some pics of it, but here’s a vid of it being tuned. Car is still plenty streetable. Without giving too much away, it runs up against the chassis cert. any questions let me know!
