    Thanks

And yeah, I don't really have a way to pull timing out like that. Or at least that I know of. I do need to get a boost controller, I'm running just a check ball type control valve over the Watergate spring to get 14 psi, pretty crude.

You can simply get another ball valve MBC like that (I made mine at ace hardware!) and plumb it up in parallel. Then use a vac/boost solenoid to activate it. Some setup micro switches on the shifter to open the 2nd MBC passage and bleed off more WG signal in high gear. Switch on steering wheel... whatever activation method is easiest for you.

A little update, I ended up buying a 2 stage boost controller that's a little more user friendly. My rear gear has always had a little wine on deceleration, so I'm changing the gear from a 3.25 to a 3.50. So hopefully by next weekend it will all be back together and my garage won't smell as bad...

A little update after going to the track, the engine was a little more noisy when cold like piston slap. So I pulled the engine just to make sure something bad wasn't getting ready to happen. Everything looked fine, except for 3 cylinders had the rings lined up. I sent the heads out to be resurfaced and I put better valve springs with titanium retainers. I also put a Brian Tooley stage 2 twin turbo cam in it. 20190216_102611.jpg #ad

I also did the bushing style rocker upgrade.

Then I started to play with the idea of flipping the intake around so I could fab up a liquid intercooler setup. 20190119_134145.jpg #ad

So under the dash I mounted an ebay intercooler. I found this outstanding 60s all aluminium 7up cooler for the ice/water tank. I'm going to use a ruel 200 pump. I built a frame for the cooler that makes it look like it's sitting on the rear seat, but it's solid mounted.

The bigger news is that Holley has released the Terminator X efi system. I couldn't resist and the Fitech rich tipin has run its course with me. So the new system showed up Tuesday and last night I started to remove the Fitech. This morning I started installing the Holley and it started right up on the first attempt 5 hours later. Already no rich tipin, idles better and sounds better. I'm waiting on the map sensor adapter to drive it but so far so good. 20190326_183418.jpg #ad

Well I finally got my cooler all finished and working. Last Saturday we went to a car show and I had 5 gallons of water in the system. We filled up for gas and I threw in 20 lbs of ice and 6 drinks in it. The ice doesn't last long with the flowing water but it sweats the intercooler quickly. So when we left the show the ice was 3/4 melted, crusing home the air intake temp was 110 so I turned the pump on and about a minute later I got on it in high gear. The intake temp went from 107 to 77 on 16 psi and it was 88 outside. From that point the temp stayed in the mid 80s and every time I got on it the temp would go to the mid 70's just on little 5 psi pulls
