i realize by ditching the a2w ic i have i can save about 150lbs not running it. so id like to run e85 for a bit till i get a handle on the cars chassis and then switch to m1/5 later on when i get serious after my et goals.
only 1/8th mile racing. no preps and some sct small ture stuff with some mexicoracingleague events.haha

    set up is
    411in 9.8:1c g3 hemi 4.10x3.90
    3100lbs with me in it.
    1.80x3.70 gearing glide car
    28x10.5 non w tires

Just be conservative with timing, keep back pressure as low as possible and read the plugs.

Plenty of guys running those boost levels and more non-intercooled on E85. (without alky injection)

The tune will have to be adjusted and you won’t make as much power per pound as you did with an A2W is all. Most of the successful setups run huge turbo(s) so they can be in a really efficient zone and not heat the charge as much.

Also the “E85” quality should be more closely monitored. Barrel fuels like Ignite E85/E98 or C85 should be used IMO. Not so much the alcohol content as the base fuels used can cause problems in my experience.

As mentioned, no reason not to throw a little mater/meth pre-turbo. Relatively cheap and great extra insurance against detonation.

I'm not knocking it just imagining it's a wild ride with that much boost on that much displacement in no prep

i will probably just run 18psi on e85 and switch to strait meth when i turn it up. at 18psi i should be close to my overall goal amyways of 4.90s. just wanted to see if anyones been long term successful like this. i kinda like to get this spring overwith before going to meth in late april early may is all. all new car chassis ans suspension is moslty 1 off stuff. so im gona have big bugs to overcome as it is.

there wont be any back pressure at all at that point. i wont even get +deltas till mid 20psi. which is almost nill. im guessing 4-6psi over intake pressure at 26psi. so its solid there. if not i can jump to a larger turbine housing quickly.

What turbo and exh housing will you be running? How high will you turn it? Took my A/A IC off in 2017. Running 2 years with out it on E85.

i have a pair of s475/83s from jose. 1.0 t4 housing but may throw 1.25 housings on em if i get back pressure deltas unmanagable above 24psi on the intake side. 7500ish rpm 1/8th mile racing only.

yea i.figure at 24psi i should be in the 16-1750hp range rather easily. more than im really shooting for power wise. im only after a set of et goals that takes 13-1400hp to achieve at 3200lbs. which is well into the 4s.
