    You are correct

You should have came by and said hello.

Sooo.... It's been a rough couple weeks with loads of carnage lol. FTI rented the track on 2/21 and we were working on this new bolt together converter they built for me. We are definitely getting this thing figured out. I did destroy my ring and pinion at the end of the day. We got another set of gears and fixed some bent upper control arm bolts that I found. TRZ fixed me up with some new control arms and solved that problem. On 2/24 at 5am we headed down to Bradenton for a Saturday test and tune. On the first pass this bitch broke another timing chain. I'm thinking it had something do with breaking the gears and hitting the rev limiter pretty hard at 9000 rpm. We loaded up and drove home and pulled the motor and had it broken down. On 2/26 I took everything to Modular Head Shop once I got off work. We found I bent valves, bent camshaft, and cracked the cam journals on that head. Like a trooper Jordan Said lets get to work! We worked till 12:30-1:00 in the morning. After work the following night we worked until 9:00 at night and I ran home to meet a buddy to put everything back together. At 4am in the morning we fired her up! Got loaded up and headed to Bradenton that day. When it was all said and done I had 7 hrs sleep in 3 days!

I was trying to get a handle on the new setup. It would power wheelie for days!!! Nothing like peddling it to keep it off the bumper 100' out. We did manage to run a 8.02 @ 173 then a 8.09 wheeling over 300'. both those had a 3 sec ramp in them on 28lbs. I made a huge suspension change and on Saturday it it kept the front end down and was on a pass before blowing a head gasket and torching the head and the block. It went a 5.15 @ 117 on that pass. considering it went a 5.19 @ 140 the pass before She was rolling out!

Were going to weld everything up o ring the heads and throw some copper gaskets in it and give her hell again. Fti is working on some more stators to better our short times and MHS is getting things lined up to fix the motor. I cant wait to get back out, she's going to be FAST.

I don't like seeing that much broken stuff. It hurts my eyes.

Hope you get it sorted out.

My boy Wayne from KWS Images worked his magic and got us a feature in an up coming Muscle Mustang and Fast Ford magazine. So awesome. I can’t wait to see the pics lol.

Getting rolling on this 25.5 update. Got all the sound deadener remove and ready to start bending some tubing.

Took me a few days but I read most of everything haha! I remember seeing you last yr at Mod Nationals. I'm currently building another mod motor for my car but damn, seeing what you have gone through is making me wonder if I should just sell everything and save money haha. Did you end up partially filling the block? Great build!

    LOL

Don't let all my drama scare you off. I feel pretty confident things are getting straightened out. The block is half filled.

I guess I'll do an update. I've been waiting on some pistons to be made so I've been taking my time with the cage update. Plus I bought a new toy and have been having a blast with it! I'm surprised I haven't came up with a name for the Polaris yet. I'm leaning torwards Medivac. There may be a good chance I'll get to take a ride in a Medivac heli because of this thing. LOL!

Haha! Ever figure out why you had so many issues with the secondary chains? I have read all kinds of arguments about filling the block, do you recommend? I will be around the same power as you with a pretty much standard teksid block. What is the gap of your top ring and did you use stainless?

Over the years I've read 1000 times that a teksid is good to 1500hp but I have yet to talk to anyone that has actually made that kind of power not had to sleeve or fill it to get it to last, not to mention, if I have to read that Mehovits runs 5's on a stock block one more time I may loose my mind. lol I can tell you from first hand experience that there is a night and day difference in my main bearings from a .020" over unfilled block making 1000rwhp vs a .020" over half filled making 1300+rwhp. From here on out my big power mod motor builds will at least be filled. I have seen where Lancaster has said he had good luck with a std bore unfilled blocks but I've never been lucky enough to find one good enough to test it. I run a .028" top and .030" bottom ring. I'm sure if you get with Jordan from Modular Head Shop and tell him I sent you he'll get you squared away with what ever you need.

If I remember correctly, the problems with the Teksid block at these high horsepower levels is distorting the bores.

I haven’t had any issues with rings sealing. They are not friendly on my main bearings.

Yes sir, it’s center counterweighted. If it wasn’t it probably would have broke into a 1000 pcs on the 9k rpm passes. Lol

I've plugging away on the cage for the last week or so. I spent a few weeks out of town working so I've been working steady on it since I've been back. I actually got a more done last night but I didn't take pics of it yet. My pistons finally came in but the didn't have the gas ports on them so they're headed back. Hopefully they wont be long. I'm starting to have withdrawals. lol
