Smeding 88mm turbo pics

    I just bought one of Smeding diesel 88mm turbo's. They are very nice. The castings are very nice and clean. The wheel look impressive. There it is compared to a s472 cover IMG_1673.JPG #ad

    Very similar to the s400 series Borg Warners. Oil drain flange is the same bolt pattern, 1/4" pipe oil supply. Same T6 1.32 exhaust housing and very similar gen 2 race cover. Takes a 5" diameter filter. Bolts are metric thread, I think they are 8mm 1.50 thread.

    It is a China knock off Borg. They copied the SXE cover as well.

    There are some billet S369's on Ebay right now, and the seller says they're Borg cartridges with their covers, but the price says they're Chinese.

    They claim they are made in the USA. There are pic's on their web site with covers on a cnc machine and more pic's of them balancing them. The casting could be made over sea's and they could be machined here. I will have some drag race results in 3-4 weeks and some street miles on it before then.

    On3 just came out with a billet wheel 94mm t6, 1.32ar, 100+mm turbine wheel with v-band connections for $1300?? i think. I tempted to switch from twins to a single now :afraid2:

    That sounds really impressive. Garrett has some in that price range too for that size.
