I have a 66 Nova running a/c and have limited space for a intercooler so I have come up with this idea. Would this work? The intercoolers are 11x11 3 inch thick Bar and plate design with 3 inch outlets 4.8 Ls with a single 7875 VS billet turbo[IMG]#ad

The short answer would be: It depends. Depends on if the flow of the coolers themselves. The fact that they are in series isn't a problem in itself, however you would have to be cautious of generally...a small cooler goes with a small engine, small turbo, ect. The cooler could easily become a restriction in the system. The only thing worse than a cooler that is too small...is having 2 too small.

It would be more complex in tubing, but "Y'd" in & out of the 2 coolers would be making each one have half the flow, not all going through each at a time like your drawing. It would be best to research/test the flow before setting it all up. Lorne

Is it the overall size of the cooler that would be the restriction? They have 3 inch outlets. boost will be around 10 to 15 psi, new at this and trying to do it only once. thanks

With the 3" cores you'll be fine imo, but will have some added restriction with the added bends. Procharger did something similar on some of their 4th gen Camaro kits.

I would personally go 3", but some have started to recommend smaller cold sides.
