This will be a slow build as I have a lot of other stuff going on right now. Since I crashed my white coupe, I've been looking for another Mustang.. but I wanted something different.. maybe a 93 Cobra. Then I stumbled onto this thing and I just had to have it. I've always loved Fairmont/Zephyr builds and this thing looked clean. I drove up to SC and picked it up from Bob @ NRC Motorsports.. Bob was awesome.. thanks again (great guy, VERY nice shop!!)!!

Anywhoo, it's a 78 Zephyr with some cool options (white leather buckets!) and it's pretty clean. It has some interior trim issues to deal with.. it has some small dings and shit here and there.. but for being a 78, the ole girl is in pretty good shape. Here we are driving her back to FL last Saturday...

I threw some wax on her last night just to try and get some of the oxidation off and see what we had..

I'm going to put the 320" Dart block SBF and BW SXE 88mm I built for the Mustang into this thing and try and do True Street. We'll start with the cage (looking at S&W - more than open to suggestions) and chassis stuff.. mini tub it.. transfer the rear suspension and stuff out of the Mustang into it.. buy all new front suspension stuff.. transfer the SN95 spindles and brakes onto it (factory manual brakes.. LOL!) then start worrying about the drive-train. Should be fun.. but again, it's going to go a little slow. Just happy to have another project..

Build isn't dead, told ya'll it would be slow. Have some other financial responsibilities to take care of before F'ing with this thing too much. I did find a parts car that I think I'm going to try and buy through. It a 79 Zephyr 2-door box just like mine but with black leather interior and doors without the wing windows (I think that's a cleaner look). Also just finished cutting up the white coupe to make room in the garage for the Zephyr... moving right along..

Here's the last of the coupe..

Well, the car has just been sitting. I'm actually considering unloading it. I'll sell it for exactly what I paid Bob @ NRC Motorsports for it if anyone in the Southeast is looking for a good fox-body car to build something out of.
