Sorry to see your misfortune! That was a really slick piece. Keep us posted on the progress...I'm sure it will turn out just as cool as your previous ones (I remember your Green one from the 'bullet)!
Maybe you should start a new build for the new vehicle? Starting off with the highlights & demise of the old one & "picking up the pieces" moving forward? Take Care, Lorne

It's going in another very similar Jeep.

Thanks! I had thought about a build thread but just haven't had time. Heck, it took me 3 months to post here that this one got smashed. I've been a very, very busy boy thrashing the next one together. Will be posting pictures after it's all done, which should be this month. It's at the paint shop right now and then final assembly and tying up a few loose ends.

Wow, sorry to hear and see.
Glad you are ok. Suspect not so much for the other driver.

Please post up your next rendition

    Mike.

Well, the new and improved Cherokee is finished enough to show off and drive! This was a tremendous amount of work in 4 months but worth it. Still needs some work on the interior and engine bay but I have over 100 miles on it now. Seems to be pretty strong on 4 psi. The new hot side seems to have sped up spool even more, full boost at 1400 rpm. And seems to handle very well. Looks like today was the last nice day of the year before winter so now I have all winter to rest and finish it at a much slower pace.

    Quick specs:
    1975 Cherokee S wide trac
Lift off fiberglass front end with stock hood
1969-70 Plymouth B5 Blue Fire paint by Autocraft Custom Collision in Muskegon MI
12 point chromemoly cage by Total Fab in Hastings MI
    '67-72 C10 frame shortened 17", reverse Z'ed 4" front, notched rear
No Limit Wide Ride front suspension with Ridetech single adjustables
Coilover rear with reinforced trailing arms and adjustable height locator bar
    2010 Challenger 5.7 HEMI and TR6060 6 speed
    Holley HP EFI
Bullseye Street Billet S366 turbo, JGS 50mm wastegate and bov
Flowtech LSx turbo headers with custom adapter plates to bolt to hemi
Full stainless hot side and exhaust
Full floater 9" rear with 4.56 gears and Detroit locker with Ron Sutton springs
275/40zr17 Continental ExtremeContact Sports on 17x11 ZR1s on all 4 corners

WOW! As much as I liked the Red one & hated to see it get damaged...the new one is just awesome! Hate to think this way, but I'm guessing having a sizable check from the insurance company in hand sure helped in pulling it off & in such a short time? Lorne

Thanks! It wasn't so much insurance money as it was pulling all-nighters and having some really dedicated friends that did the same. The insurance money didn't cover the whole build but sure did help. I'll spend a long time paying back all the favors I got in the past few months though!

Wow, very cool build. Surprised that you could use ls turbo headers with an adapter plate on a hemi. Did you make the adapter plate?

How do you like the Holley HP EFI?

Thanks! Yep, I made the adapter plates. There is a company AEI CNC that makes them but they were moving shop at the time and I was impatient. https://www.facebook.com/bob.etteAEICNC/

And the Holley EFI is sweet, miles and miles ahead of the stock ecu based options to run a HEMI. The factory ecu is more of a headache than anything and the Holley is smooth as butter.

Been a while since I've updated this thing. Several posts coming up.

Before Spring came I decided to finally have the transmission gone through. The syncros were trashed from day 1 so the off season was a good time to fix and upgrade. I picked up a junk Hellcat trans from a friend and had a frankenstein made from the two. The main Hellcat donation was the 5th and 6th gears. The .63 sixth in the Hellcat vs the standard .50 let me go back to a 3.70 rear gear and still cruise nicely on the expressway without lugging. Also threw in the used Hellcat clutch because the stock RT clutch was reaching the end of it's friction material after 56k miles in a Challenger and 11k with boost in the old Cherokee.

Scattershield because I like not chopping my feet off. Heavy ol bugger, added almost 40 lbs to to the truck.

Got some skinny front tires for my birthday because my previous drag fronts got destroyed with the red Jeep.

Got a break between snow storms and made a few hundred mile road trip at the end of March. Dropped off a big block Chevy to a shop east of Lansing and visited a friend's body shop. Kind of a big deal, the first time I'd really left town with the Jeep.
